Descamps v. United States : ウィキペディア英語版 | Descamps v. United States
Descamps v. United States was a 2013 Supreme Court case regarding prior offenses under the Armed Career Criminal Act. The case was decided 8-1, with Justice Elena Kagan writing the majority opinion. The ACCA provides for additional penalties for those who have been convicted before of violent crimes, and the case revolved around conflicts between state and federal definitions of burglary. The Court made conviction under the ACCA more difficult by striking down the modified categorical approach for crimes with a single and indivisible set of elements. ==See also==
